A Fanfare for all occasions! The Herald Trumpets of Scotland are a group of talented brass players who have come together to create a unique musical ensemble, capable of performing at a wide variety of engagements. Whether it’s an award ceremony, a wedding, a concert, or a celebration, the Herald Trumpets of Scotland will add a unique and distinctive touch to your special occasion.
The Herald Trumpets of Scotland have performed at a varied range of events, including concerts, special birthdays and ceremonies. They have appeared as far afield as Skibo Castle in the north of Scotland, to Edinburgh and even Gibraltar! Their appearances and performances has also included feature films! In 2019 they featured in a Nextflix sequel – “The Princess Switch, Switched Again”. The Herald Trumpets can perform with two, four, six, seven, eight or twelve performers, depending on your requirements.
The Director of the group is Major (Ret.) Kevin Lamb who has a long and distinguished association with fanfare trumpets. In 1981 he was the Leader of The Fanfare Trumpets of The Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall, who performed at the wedding of HRH Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer in St. Paul’s Cathedral. He has also performed and conducted fanfares at numerous investitures for The Order of The Bath, The Order of The Garter and The Order of Thistle, in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as well as other high profile engagements across the globe. In 2007, he also had the great honour to be asked to compose and conduct the music for the State Opening and Closing of the Scottish Parliament by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
Kevin Lamb has composed numerous fanfares over the years, many for The Herald Trumpets of Scotland. You too can have a fanfare specially composed for your celebration. Not only will it be a “one-off“ composition exclusively for you, it will also be specially engraved and framed for presentation.
